The construction of a foosball table as well as the composition are very important.

Legs are constructed from particle board to steel. Some tables have solid wood legs and some are hollow. Most all legs are equipped with leg levelers a assure a level table.

Aprons, or the sides of the table, are mostly made of laminated/fiberboard or particle board.

The playing field is the table top or playing surface. They are manufactured with various thickness. The table top normally has an enamel coating to protect the playing field against wear.

The table top should be supported by underneath cross support bars to ensure a level playing field.

Some tables have 1 to 3 goalies. All players should be counter balanced.

Playing rods choices range from chrome plated hollow steel rods to solid steel rods. Check the make up of the bearings and handles.

Foosball tables are overall approximately 48" to 55" in length.
